Village Services - Water & Sewer
Water Information
Water is supplied to the Village of LaGrange through the DuPage Water Commission which purchases water from the City of Chicago. The Village is one of 23 Charter Customers of the Commission who receive their water from Lake Michigan.

Water quality is monitored daily to ensure uniform quality and purity. The water is very low in sodium, total dissolved solids and has a hardness of approximately eight grains.

Sewer Use Charges
A sewer use charge of 15% of the net water bill is made for all homes and businesses connected to the Village sanitary sewer system. These funds are used to keep sanitary sewers in good working order through a program of cleaning, maintenance and repair.

The LaGrange Sanitary District also levies a sewer use charge that is billed to each home in LaGrange served by the district. That sewer use charge is used to pay the cost of collection and treatment of sewer wastes.
