The LaGrange Area Historical Society is open to the public on the first and last Sundays of every month from 1:00p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

* Records are available for research each Wednesday from 9:30a.m. to 12:00 noon.

The LaGrange Area Historical Society was established in 1967.  The purpose of the society is to collect, preserve and promote the history of the LaGrange area by making available to the public materials and information significant in this regard.

The Historical Society's museum and offices are located in the Samuel Vial House which was built in 1874.  The museum illustrates life in early LaGrange and offices and archives space for the Society. Records are available for research each Wednesday from 9:30a.m. to 12:00 noon.  The museum is open to the public on the first and last Sunday of every month from 1:00p.m. - 4:00pm.

The Society sponsors various programs throughout the year for both members and non-members. Guided tours of the museum are available.
