Pickup Schedule

Purchase Stickers

Solid Waste: All kitchen and household refuse should be placed in a 32 gallon bag or can and placed on the curb on your scheduled pickup day. Each bag or can placed at the curb must have a Village of LaGrange/BFI sticker on it. If you have a large item for pickup (washer, dryer, stove, couch, water heater, mattress, etc.), it may be placed on the curb on your scheduled pickup day one day a month without charge.

Landscape Waste: All grass, leaves, shrubbery, vine trimmings, and the like must be contained in 32 gallon biodegradable paper bags and placed on the curb for pickup on the primary collection day. One sticker must be placed on each 32 gallon biodegradable paper bag. Plastic bags or cans containing yard waste will be left uncollected even if there is a sticker on them. You may not mix solid waste and landscape waste. Landscape waste will be picked up between April 1 and December 1 of each year.

Brush: Brush will be picked up in bundles when placed at the curb for collection on your primary pickup day and each bundle must have a sticker on it. A bundle size must be no longer than 4 feet, 18 inches in diameter, weigh no more than 50 pounds, and be securely tied with biodegradable string (no wire or plastic ties). Limbs cannot be larger than 2 inches in diameter. Bundles tied in any other manner will be left at the curb. Brush will be picked between April 1 and December 1.

Recycling: Recyclables will be picked up on the primary pickup day. Items that are included in the Village’s curbside recycling program are: computer paper, packing paper, white paper, glass bottles and jars, colored paper, aluminum cans, foil, and trays, junk mail, Plastic No. 1-7, magazines, aerosol cans (empty), phone books, paint cans (empty and dried), paper grocery bags, milk/juice cartons, chipboard/paperboard, drink boxes, newspaper. Please separate the paper products from the non-paper items. You may pickup two 18 gallon bins from the Village.

Pickup Schedule:

  • Addresses north of 47th Street are collected on Mondays
  • Addresses south of 47th Street are collected on Thursdays

Stickers
Stickers cost $1.85 each and may be purchased at the Village offices and the following locations:
